The Evolution of an Iconic Address

1928

Originally opened as Hotel Lincoln, the property became one of the tallest hotels west of Broadway and featured elegant Art Deco-inspired interiors.

1957

The hotel was reintroduced as Hotel Manhattan following a major renovation that modernized the property and added the iconic rooftop neon “M.”

1969

Renamed Royal Manhattan, the hotel reflected the changing spirit of Midtown Manhattan during a transformative era for Times Square.

1980

The property reopened as Milford Plaza Hotel and became widely recognized through its memorable “Lullaby of Broadway” advertising campaigns.

2014

Following a major renovation, the hotel relaunched as Row NYC with a contemporary design inspired by urban energy and Broadway culture.

2026

Row NYC reopens with fully renovated guest rooms and refreshed public spaces, introducing a modern new chapter in the heart of Times Square.
