WHO WE’LL BE WATCHING AT THIS YEAR’S NYFW

As one of the world’s “Big Four” fashion capitals, New York’s bi-annual Fashion Week is one of the industry’s most highly-anticipated affairs. Only the best and brightest get to showcase their upcoming lines during this highly coveted week, and the talent is always top-notch. From avant-garde designs to jaw-dropping finales, the shows at New York Fashion Week are always the best in the business. A-List celebrities and socialites adorn the audience as the world’s most famous supermodels take to the runway. While we’ll be following all of the designers and talent, there are a few shows that we absolutely cannot wait to see. Some are established, while some are relatively new to the scene, but we are certain that all of them will be fierce, fashionable, and a whole lot of fun. Here are our can’t miss shows for this season’s NYFW:

Kittenish

Kittenish, by country music and television star Jessie James Decker, will show at the Metropolitan West in conjunction with mega fashion platform, Style360. Always stunning and fashion-forward, we’re super excited to see this season’s pieces, which Decker creates with the goal of celebrating and empowering women. When asked of her inspiration, the designer stated, “Sometimes if we feel confident and beautiful on the outside, it helps our inner beauty shine through.” We couldn’t agree more, and even better, ROW nyc will once again be the official hotel partner of STYLE360 for the fifth consecutive year. Conveniently located near the Klarna STYLE360 fashion pavilion at 700 Eighth Avenue, the art-driven, New York-centric hotel will provide its elegant brand of hospitality and accommodations to celebrity and VIP guests, while also serving as Klarna STYLE360’s NYFW afterparty hub hosting the VIP red carpet party for Kittenish by Jesse James Decker in their chic District M lounge.

Tom Ford

The dashing designer is a living legend in the halls of fashion, with his unparalleled swagger, swoon-worthy looks, and elegant design sensibility. The CFDA’s chairman has a score of celebrity fans, and the crowds at his shows often resemble a night at the Oscars. His classically beautiful and flawless collections have made him a favorite of Brad Pitt, Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, and of course, Jay Z (who made it clear that he rocks Tom Ford when he immortalized the designer’s name in his music lyrics). Unless you’re Anna Wintour or Mrs. Carter, his shows are fairly impossible to attend, but we will definitely be checking out the post-show highlights and fashion reports to see what Mr. Ford has in store for Spring 2020.

Christian Siriano

We love Mr. Siriano, not only for his talent but also for his dedication to designing beautiful pieces for ALL women- no matter their shape or size. The Project Runway alumni made waves on the reality show when he blew away the judges with his stunning designs and prodigy-like talent. Since then, it’s fairly safe to say he’s made waves with the entire world. The designer, who famously stepped in to design a red-carpet stunner for Leslie Jones, has become a beloved designer for everything that he represents. Siriano once was quoted in People Magazine stating, “No matter who you are, you can still have fun with fashion...It goes back to my whole idea of supporting all different types of people and trying to make themselves feel great about themselves. We just want to make people feel good.”

His show is planned for September 7th, and we can’t wait for him to make us all feel good.
