This Spring’s Top Beauty Tips & Trends from The Experts

Last year, braids and beachy waves were the top trends, while baking soda and dry shampoo were holy grail products for low maintenance mornings and DIY clarifying treatments. This year, we’ve once again called in the beauty mavens at Glam&Go , the in-house salon and official beauty partners at Row NYC, to get their top tips for beauty in 2018.

With locations throughout the city, the convenient beauty service for women-on-the-go is the ultimate solution for women who need to look amazing with limited time. This year, the beauty experts predict ponies, bobby pins, and “undone” waves as the season’s hottest looks and have given some insight on what that mysterious cool setting on your blow dryer does for your locks . Erika from Glam&Go says, “While we love the results of the salon, and Glam&Go in particular, here are some spring trends and hacks for the girl on the go when she doesn't have time to visit a salon that are totally on trend this season….”

1. The pony is making its comeback! Ponytails are an effortless look, but chic and trendy at the same time when pulled tight to the crown of the head. It’s the quickest and easiest hairstyle that will keep you looking well put together, especially on those busy mornings. If you wish for a fuller longer ponytail try dividing your hair into two sections - this will give your pony length and volume. First go from ear to ear (as if you were wearing your hair half up). Then continue to put the rest in an additional ponytail. If you like more height you can tease the top and sides to make it more voluminous.

2. Another trend we're seeing is the undone waves of the 90's. Ditch the awkward curling iron you have no clue how to hold and grab your flatiron. All you have to do is divide your hair into four even sections and use a flat iron on them, curling the iron back and away from your face in one full swoop. This method will leave you with natural looking waves throughout your hair and it will last all day. Due to the large sections, you'll get the undone look in no time.

3. We're seeing a lot of bobby pins coming down the runway. Get creative with your bobby pins. They are a fabulous hair accessory that often go overlooked. Try slicking your hair back into a low ponytail. Pin a couple onto the side of your hair. Try using different colors to spice it up a bit. You can create the same effect with a low bun, or hollywood waves, pinning bobby pins from behind the ear to the nape of the neck.

4. Want to stay classic but just wish your blowout would last? If you been blessed with being able to blow dry your own hair but you can't seem to make the style last try to set your hairstyle by blasting it with cool air when you're done. Turn the blow dryer on a cool setting once finished with your blow out and your hair is set. Finish it off with some finishing spray and this sets your hair for the day!

For everything else, head to Glam&Go :)
